2014 Aug-Nov Ministry Report

My Dear Friend and Prayer Partner
I bring you ministry report of July August September October 2014. I have started to give more time to ministry so making a report is very big project for me. I want to thank you for your messages, prayers and financial support. Without your help we would not have done all these. It's because of you. So let us praise the Lord together. Here are the reports. Here we go...

Samaritan Purse We want to thank Samaritan Purse for distributing gifts to the Children in our Church in July. 50 or more children were very happy as they got toys, clothes, food and even $$ bill and writing materials. Children really do cherish gift items and I could see some of them sleeping with Micky Mouse and Teddy Bear. This is a great way to show that you love and care the little ones. You too can do like this to needy Children in Nepal. You can send gifts to Orphan Children for Christmas, here is the address, Rita Rai, GPO 8975, EPC 2030, Kathmandu, Nepal. We would love to hear from you.

Bible Distribution Ministry in Nepal
More than 250 Bible College students, Pastors and new converts were benefited from the Bible Distribution in August. All Bibles are received as a free gift from our Partners in Nepal and from around the world. Nepal doesn't print English Bible. There are more than 100 Bible Colleges, Seminaries, and short term bible school across the country and they do graduate thousands of new missionaries and workers in Nepal every year. These Bible College Students they have to buy Bible for their personal use, it is really a gift when you give them a copy of good English Bible free of charge. So you could be a blessing for Nepal if you collect Bibles and send to us. 50 years ago there were handful of Christians in Nepal, 20 years ago there were few numbers of Churches in some districts, today they say there are more than 2.5 million Christians in Nepal and still growing every day. You see the difference? I want you to be a part of the growing community of the saved ones in Nepal.

Children Camp
Around 300 Children gathered for the Kids Camp in Kathmandu. Children from Churches in Kathmandu came with song, dance, game, quiz, talent and others. Face paint was really nice and Children loved it. It is the third camp and we are happy we are helping kids learn the Christian value; bring them in one place for friendship and growth in the faith. When you pray and support us you are also reaching reaching the children of Nepal with the Love of Jesus Christ.

New Converts and Baptism in Ramechap
I visited Ramechap and there were 14 new converts were water baptized and now witnessing the Lord Jesus Christ around the village. In the midst of the persecution or people groups who hate Christians, they are the light, shining in the dark. There was also a problem in Gelu when burying the dead because of other people objected and did not like Christian bury the dead and nearly fight broke out. There is no Christian cemetery in Nepal. Nepal is constantly going through cemetery problem. Hindu burned their dead bodies, Buddhist some time burn some time bury or some time cut the carcasses and feed to the birds. Christians in Nepal have increased but they do not have graveyard yet. Pray for the future of Christians in Nepal.

Alisha Dhimal Help
I want to thank all who participated in helping Alisha getting Cancer treatment. By the time we took her to the hospital it was too late, the disease has been spread to all the parts of her body. She had bone cancer and we tried to cut her entire leg as suggested by the Doctor but she and her parent didn't agree. Hospital told us to take her back to home which we did. I want to thank all who supported her financially and prayed for her. We purchase electric tuk-tuk for her father from the left over money, to use so that he can earn money to help his family. She passed away on 29 November 2014 and we are very saddened. We are also glad that she and her family member has accepted Jesus before her death.

Football/Sports Ministry
We had wonderful football ministry in past months. We played many games and share the gospel with players, prayed together. National players were reached with the gospel and some of the high level athletes have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal lord and savior. I don't want to shout their names but we are doing well. What we need is Bible for the Athletes; please find some copies for us to hand them to the Athletes. Please remember that sport is a very big community and we need to reach there with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

October New House
We are so happy that we got a new house on rent near our old house. Now Reuel and Rosanna can sleep in their room. We are praying to God that as our need increases that God will supply all that we need to do His work in Nepal. We have some extra room for visitors too. Thank you for all your continued support. You are the reason for us to be here today. God is good and we love you.

Feeding in Church
We have a program call feeding and this is giving food to the needy on Church day whenever we have money to buy food. Many women come to Church with their baby from far away and they get hungry. Just as God has loved us we think that we should love our neighbor too. So we provide them food and snacks when the service is over. Our Church starts at 11AM and ends at 2 or later they do become hungry. Every one joins, they pray together, laugh, share, cry, counsel, deliverance, share the gospel to first comer and lead to Jesus. It's always a good time for fellowship.

World Race Volunteering
I personally thank world race for their help us in the ministry. They serve us, help us and do ministry with us and they pay us for food and housing. Our ministries and projects like orphanage, school, new church, evangelism, reaching out to cabin restaurants (sex worker), helping the poor to fix their houses, ministry in slums, sports, outreach has greatly been blessed. Nepal has broad areas of ministry need and we want more volunteering team to Nepal. We need help and helper.

Water filter system installed in Orphanage
We are very glad that we have water filter system installed in orphanage and our children can drink pure clean water. You know that Saroj got Typhoid and was hospitalized due to unclean water. Thank you to all for your help. Our Children and staffs are very happy to drink clean water. There is one more area to think about and help. If you could donate warm clothes for the orphans, that would be really kind of you. 4 Children and two young ladies need winter clothing. Give them a Christmas blessing. Their ages are 6, 7, 8, 9.

Solar Power to the Pastors
Nepal is rich in River but the government doesn't have enough money to produce electricity from its river. So there is power cut every day, 12 hours to 18 hours per day. Our Pastors living in village do not have electricity and only means of lightening their house is through Kerosene Lamp. So putting a solar panel in the house is a dream of every pastor but they just can't afford to put it in. One set cost 40000 Nepali rupees, around 440 US dollar. So there are 16 of us who need this. I really do wish that my Pastors get light through Solar in the house at night so that their children can study in light, cook, organize prayer meeting. But I can't just do it by myself. I know all of us need money and we have many things to buy. But we would be very happy if we could have the light through solar, to the Pastors house at least, who serve God and God's people day and night.

Need fund for extension of the rooms in orphanage and store house
We are building a small store house with two room next to the orphanage to keep cement, pipes and other things to keep safe from  sun light damage. We have not painted the outside wall of the orphanage and looking for help to do this. In February March we will like to put one more flat but it needs huge amount of money to put one storey in the orphanage. It will have more rooms to keep more children. Please consider this in your prayer.

10 years of ministry and celebration in Nepal
We will be celebrating 10 years of our ministry in Nepal in 28-31, January 2015. The lord has blessed us countless number of blessing and we really don't have words to explain how thankful we are for God's guidance, protection, supply, and grace and ministry development. All glory to God. Well, I have very lot of things to share with you, but I want to wrap it up now and see you soon again.

I always want to read your email. Your email, your prayer and your support has continuously inspired me to share the Love of God in Nepal. May the Lord bless you very richly in your health, income and in ministry.

July 2014 Nepal Mission Report

My Dear Friend

Greeting to you and to your loved ones in the most precious and wonderful name of our Lord savior Jesus Christ.

I bring you the good news of the lord's work in Nepal and I hope it would bring joy in the heart just as it did to ours. Many blessing and grace to you from God our father and our Lord savior Jesus Christ.

New Church Building in Kathmandu
New Church Building in Kathmandu
We were able to built a Church for ten years in Kathmandu which can contain 400 people at once. This is not our land, we did not buy it, we hired it. This hall is suitable for Church service, Meeting, Children Camp, Bible College, Conferences and wedding programs. Now we are praying to God that God will add more souls to this Church. We have a place to worship the Lord in Kathmandu.

Urgent support for four orphans

We have Four orphans whose parent died due to Cancer and Liver disease. Two girls and two boys. Their names are Ashika (6) Yashika (8) Yakesh (9)  and Saroj (9). We need urgent help for them to admit them to school near the orphanage, buy new uniforms, bag and books, clothes, bed, food and other necessary accessories. Children have disease like boils and malnourished symptoms,  they need medical treatment. If you or any one in your circle is interested to support either one or all four orphans, it will be so good.
More orphans will be in home in September.

Sports Ministry

We have a good game and witnessing opportunity in sport in Itahari and other places. It was really good to see Church team play in prestigious tournament.  When you pray in public, share the gospel, and talk about Jesus, you do the best evangelism. Where ever Church team go, they become an ambassador for Jesus about whom people talk about.

Small Star Community School

Small Star Community School in Dungdunge in Ilam Nepal has successfully completed first one year operation with 25 students. It is a great joy to see small effort bring change in children lives. We just don't want to educate everybody, we just want to educate some who wants to go higher. Remember without any solid support it is very hard to teach students and maintain school activities. This school needs books, bags, uniforms, furniture and payment to teachers. This school is located in remote place in mountain with no transportation, electricity, market and the people who live there are poor.

Ministry of Purna Kumar in Dasami

Purna Kumar carried the gospel to Dasami for ten years because it was his birth place and he desperately wanted to see people saved. During his initial visit he suffered so much problems in taking the gospel there. People were not friendly and they don't want to listen to the gospel, they don't want to leave their religion and idols. But numerous things happen there, a woman with child was sick and after prayer the baby got healed and the next day many other child and adult line up for prayer for healing. Padam (standing in the middle) accepted Jesus despite his family disagreement, stood firm and were able to lead more than 60 souls to the Lord. A Church was planted in the mountain top because they could not meet in the house for the reason of resistance. Recently, Purna and Padam led 15 new people to the Lord and were baptized. God is at work in Dasami. It's because of your prayer.

Orphanage house and Regular support for orphans

We need regular support for orphans. One child need 1200 US dollar for a year, 100 dollar for a month, for school admission, uniform, books, clothes and medical expenses. Please stand for orphan and show your kindness. Change their future and destiny. Orphans Bio data can be sent upon request only. Currently we have four orphans, two girls and one boy, and they need support for their School. Other orphans are waiting for enrollment in the Orphanage home.

10th years of our ministry
We are celebrating 10 years of ministry in God's hand in January 2015 (2005-2015). It is really so amazing to see so big change in ministry we did to the lord. We are grateful for your continued prayer, encouraging emails and financial support. It is very hard to imagine that we together did it. We do more together then we do alone. Without you we have done nothing. Let us rejoice what God is doing in this Himalayan Country.

Persecution in Nepal
There was a blast in Church service in Kathmandu in 2009 where three were martyr. Christians in Nepal are being squeezed from every side for just being a Christian. Recently 8 leaders from a mega church in Kathmandu were held in custody just because they Baptized 40 believers. In other part of East Nepal, Pastor and his wife were arrested because they held children in the Church. A Pastor's rented Church in the house in Kathmandu was threatened to vandalize. Hindu extremist groups are moving around to restore back Hindu as a state religion which will enforce laws to prevent conversion. One Hindu religious leader said in the public that if they don't declare Nepal as a Hindu state they will announce religious war. There is a growing sense that religious persecution might come to Nepal. We all need to pray now that God will give us more power to endure all kinds of hardship when it comes to defend our faith.

Bible College for Pastors
We have scheduled our Bible College for Pastors from 24 September to  2nd November 2014 for 40 days for 40 Leaders across Nepal and possibly from India, in Apostolic Church in Kathmandu. We need 6736$ for only for food. If we don't organize training people won't go, if they don't go, people will not hear the gospel, if they don't hear the gospel they won't be saved. So we need you. Help us win Nepal for Jesus.

Finally, I want to thank you so much for all your prayer and support. What ever you see that happening in Nepal in the ministry, its because of you. So there is no words how thankful we are for you.

Making donation online for mission work in Nepal is very easy now. You can just go to Nepal Church website and use Paypal.

Thank you for all your prayer.

Nepal

The month of May June July were very tough for me. I did not had enough money to cover up all my family need, ministry need and orphanage building need, as a result could not eat, sleep and concentrate on the ministries I was doing. Most of my days were spent lonely, talking to myself, working alone, thinking of my family and others. Only thing I was able to do was to wait on God for His answer to my need and challenges.

2014 February Ministry Report

Ministry report of December and January February 2014
Kathmandu Nepal

My Dear Friend
Greeting from Nepal. I am sorry I could not write you more often. Lot of changes and ministry around me. Its hard some time to concentrate on particular things. Thank you so much for everything you have done for me and for Nepal. Let us give God all the glory together.
In this report, I put more photos so that you can see what is going on here in Nepal. I believe that photos will explain more then the words do. Once again thank you so much for your kind emails and support. Please read enjoy and give all the glory to the Lord in heaven.

Above Photo: We have been gathering in a small room in Kathmandu since we started the Church in 2004 in Kathmandu Nepal with a handful of members and after nearly ten years later we can't gather together because number of new members grew and the children also increase in number. We prayed to the Lord for hired land to build a temporary place for Church service, Bible College, Seminars, Bible distribution and Pastors meetings. This photo is the beginning stage of our new Church building which we contracted for five years.

Above photo: The new Church in Kathmandu, the group of leaders in the ministry from Bible School, Bible Distribution, Sports Ministry, Orphanage, Home Stay, Jesus Film, School for poor, Translation and others and we are more than 40 leaders from around Nepal serving our Lord Jesus Christ in different places around Nepal. This photo was taken at the last meeting of our 7th Annual Conference in Kathmandu in February.

Above Photo is a group photo from our Annual conference meeting in Kathmandu, thank you to all who have prayed for us and supported us. We are here today because of you. We started the ministry in 2004, from a family in a tiny room in Kathmandu and now we are16 Churches and fellowships all around Nepal with many ministries, it is truly the Lord who is working. We don't take all credit, we share with you too, because they are the result of your partnership with us.

Above photo is a glimpse of our worship time in the new Church in Kathmandu in the Annual conference. We are here because of God's grace and off course because of your prayer. Out of nothing God brought us to this state. These are just the start of the ministry, we have more to do. Thank you Jesus.

Above Photo: The women team in my Church, who provide care and serve guest during the events, the woman in the front is really awesome lady who takes responsibility of feeding every one and is one of our first convert in ministry. The full gown which they are wearing is called SAREE in Nepali. Its look good, is not it?

Above photo: is Rita preaching in village. She often goes with women team to unreached places and to people groups to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. We switch our stay in home some time. Rita is passionate about telling the gospel to other people since she was graduated from the Bible College. How can some one hear the gospel unless some sends them. Read this:  But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe on him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless some one tells them?

Above photo: Rita sharing the gospel in indigenous Church in village who have never attended conference or seminary or big gathering. Body of Christ needs encouragement specially if no one is visiting them. Hardly 2% of the total population in Nepal are Christians and many places still unreached for the gospel. I believe that the great commission is still there. Jesus said, Go into all the world and preach the good news to everyone.

Above photo: Rita posing for group photo with tribal Church members in the village of Nepal. Dhimal people in east Nepal wear Petani (black) and the speak their own language (not Nepali) to communicate.  There are more then 120 people ethnic groups in Nepal who uses their own mother tongue. Many of them have never heard the gospel yet.

Above photo is during one of our football match in the final. Television was broadcasting live around the country the game we were playing. People are hearing the news about the Christian club participating in the football tournament. Some Hindu people and political parties are demanding that Nepal should be a Hindu state again and ban all sorts of Christian activities in Nepal. We need to pray that Nepal remain secular state for ever and we will have the privilege of going around to tell the good news of our Lord Jesus Christ. Sports is one of them, we are going around the country proclaiming the gospel.

Above photo is from football game held in Itahari in March. We go to any place upon invitation to play football. The organizer committee provides money for our travel, lodging and food. We do distribute Bibles and tracts to local church communities and Church who needs the Bible. Sports is just a medium to reach the community with the good news of Jesus Christ.

Above photo is of the orphanage house in Morang, it is now at the end of the stage, painting on the ground floor is complete. Sliding glasses on the windows still need to be fix and it will be done as soon as the materials are available in the market. We just need is the furniture. Please pray that all the Children that should come here would be chosen by God himself and they be blessed. We also need some volunteer on 3/4/5/6/ month basis. If any one is willing to come they are happily welcomed. All glory to God.

Above Photo is my new Church in Kathmandu. I needed a bigger place because very often we organize Pastors meeting, Bible School, Leadership conferences, Marriage program, Sports Ministry Church, Children Camp, Regional Pastors meeting. I can't hire hotel room all the time for this. I know it is costly but we want to get 'most from it'.

Above photo is me standing in front of my Church in Kathmandu, door is facing eastward and inside this building 400 people can seat together at once, it has one sitting room, one children Sunday school room and a room for the guard at night. It has flower garden, a pool for the fish and the water baptism and parking, two toilet and one shower room. Next year we are celebrating our 10 years of our ministry in Nepal. I am so very much excited. I can't wait to share every bit of thing happen here in Nepal because its all because of your prayer.

God has helped us to build the Church in Kathmandu where 400 people can gather to worship the Lord, this building is temporary because its built on rented land. We do not own the ground. We want to achieve some of our goals while still we are here. We will soon be celebrating and organizing big evangelistic meetings for the leaders who are working in the front line in ministry.
