2013 November

My Dear Friend

Love and greeting to you, and to your loved ones, in the most precious name of our Lord savior Jesus Christ. I really wanted to compose ministry reports to send to you but I enjoyed spending more time serving God and His people. I am here to share what happen in past couple of months. I pray that this report will be a blessing to you as you read.

Sana Tara Community School

Sana Tara Community School
Dungdunge School which they call now, Sana Tara (Small Star) Community School is running with more than 30 kids. We had a long time desire to have a school for poor children in Dungdunge and finally there is a building and three teachers. There are some few friends who stood behind us and encouraged us to have a school and we shared the need of the School with them, they help us carry the stones, sands, wood, cement and brick and other school supplies and other just supported us by donation and by providing the clothes. I say that this is a love in action. Love thy neighbor as thau love thyself.
We need volunteering teams to come and help us work in this school. They can come for one week, two or for a month. Some school photos can be found in www.facebook.com/sanataras you can have a look.

Orphanage in Urlabari

Some time work is slow and don't come to your expectation. Sometime, lack of sufficient fund, workers holidays and not finding item on right time causes work to slow. But orphanage has come to a shape and we are happy and we want to bring orphans. They Orphanage in Nepalare just waiting for the house to complete so that they would come in. No one is living in orphanage right at the moment because house is not complete yet, but orphans are waiting to come in. So please help us. No amount is too small to receive. We are very excited, soon we will have kids around us folding hand to pray to God. House at left is taken from the backyard.

Sports Supplies by Regan
I want to personally thank Regan, my old friend, for collecting shoes and other sports materials. She has been a good help in sports ministry and for Church Boys Kathmandu. Regan was in Nepal in 2009 and I do really appreciate for your contribution. Thank you Regan, you have reduce our burden.

And also to Rodger Oswald, for your help in sports ministry.

Sub Annual Conference in Ramechap

We had a good Pastor's meeting in Gelu in Ramechap, it was a good time of refreshing and encouragement. Pastors ministry reports really motivated me to serve God furthermore. The challenge they face, their everyday need, and the victory they get from the lord is really wonderful. Please remember our Pastors and leaders in your prayer. They are head of the congregation and ministry, and they are:

  1. Reuben Rai
  2. Purna Kumar RaiNew Converts in Nepal
  3. Bishnu Moktan
  4. Sudip Praja
  5. Pratap Lal Mukhia
  6. Khamba Sing Rai
  7. Pratap Praja
  8. Chitra Praja
  9. Padam Bahadur Rai
  10. Pradip Rai
  11. Sukraman Praja
  12. Pratap Tamang
  13. Soloman Rai
  14. Pradip Rai
  15. Suraj Moktan
These ministry leaders and their associates need your prayer for strength, wisdom, and servant heart. Every year we get together, we see that God is adding more and more for his kingdom, this is the Lord's work. This is because of your prayer and support.

Bible Distribution in Kathmandu

Bible Distribution Ministry in NepalWe had Bible Distribution program in August where more than 300 needy people came for their free copy of English Bibles. We put small amount of money on good Bibles which they were happy to pay for. We receive the request for Bibles by phone, by email, by facebook and through personal contacts. This ministry has blessed thousands of lives in Kathmandu and  else where in Nepal. There is rapid growth of Christians in Nepal and more Bibles are needed.
One political leader said recently that there is more than 2.5 million Christian in Nepal and these numbers just grew within last ten years. National Census Reports 2012 tells that Nepal has population of 26.49 Million people.

Church Building in Gelu in Ramechap

Nepali district like Sindhupalchowk and Ramechap has the high rate of social discrimination. New converts do not mix with other family groups because of caste system. They still believe on 'untouchable'. In this situation only means to gather them for Church service is a mutual place, a separate house for worship. That is why we are building a small cottage for congregation in Gelu and it needs your support. We need to pray for God's grace in Nepal.

Football Outreach in India

Our football team of sports ministry, to which our ministry supports, went to India to participate in game and we proclaimed the gospel of Jesus Christ there. Football is playing vital part in making platform to share the gospel. Everywhere we go with the football team, people just ask many questions about Jesus Christ, which eventually turns into a Nicodemus conversation. TVs, Radios, News Papers, Internet all just speaks about our faith. Praise the Lord.

Youth Meeting in Kathmandu and the Church growth

I just learn that if we trust youth in the church and give them direction and opportunity, they will do ministry more then you expect of them. I did the same and they do the wonderful works for the Lord. They are united, there is fuel in the service, worship is good, good music and congregation learn new songs. Its a kind of revival when all come into one mind in fellowship. We had a youth meeting and it was really awesome. Most importantly, fruit of the youth ministry is many new souls coming to the Church. Church is becoming smaller and smaller, we have to move, to some bigger place. Thanks to the youth. In 2014 we will have a new place where 200-300 people would worship the Lord together. Soloman Appendicitis SurgeryWe are so excited. But we need to pray for Apostolic faith and fellowship.

Soloman and Khamba Singh laid sick

Soloman suffered Appendicitis and was rushed to the hospital for surgery. A thumb size flesh had to be cut off and removed from Appendix. If it was delayed for some hours, he could be in real danger. But praise God nothing unwanted happen. I want to appreciate all friends and partners for remembering him in prayer. Soloman is great help in the ministry.
In another incident, one of our Pastor, Khamba Sing, became very sick, his one side body was paralyzed and could not move. Doctor said it was due to damage in brain. He could hardly talk now and moves with the help of staff. We need to pray for his complete recovery.
When believers become sick, Pastor go there to pray and comfort. But when Pastor himself become sick, what shall we do? Pastors/Shepherd are sent by God so let us pray and care for them.

Bible College in Kathmandu

Bible College in NepalWe had a most blessed Bible School ever. All students were very much excited to be there to learn the word of God. They worship together, participated in workshop, danced in worship, and they even learn how to write email. Bible College is developing new leaders for the harvest field. Some time we are left alone to do this important task. We run out of money and no body to help us. So we were forced to reduce the duration of the school from 40 days to 30 days at first, but we could not even provide food for 30 days, so we cut it to 2 weeks.

We will be going to outreach with same students to new place to tell people about Jesus Christ. Some people groups have not heard the gospel, we want to go and tell them.

Big achievement in football

We were able to win the finale in two places, in Damak and in Duhabi. Our football team is not professional and we just do it to proclaim the message of the cross. Our Church team lifted the prestigious two trophies with cash, medals, and certificate. It is good to be honored in public. I become happy when a Christian person becomes a public figure in the society. Everywhere we go people just talk about Jesus. People paid money to watch our game. The name of our team, Church Boys United' was all over the internet, radios, tvs and newspapers. Christian people from all over Nepal were very glad to see that a Church team became the champion. Sport is one of the unreached field for the gospel and we want to go there. People hear about the Church involving in the social development. We are impacting the youth with the gospel of Jesus Christ through the mediums of sport. Youth wants to know more about what we believe. Church Boys United KathmanduChristians are raising everywhere. Its time to take Nepal for Jesus.

Upcoming programs

Church in Kathmandu
We have rented a land and are trying to build a temporary building to accommodate more people for worship and for Bible Training and seminars. This is not what we want but this is what situation requires. Please do pray for unity in work to build the temporary worship center so that we could worship the lord together.

Orphanage in Urlabari
I am right now in Urlabari where we are building the orphanage. Your continued support and prayer is needed. We could work here because of your prayer and support and we are very thankful for every dollar and rupees you donate. If you have not please consider doing this today. Your reward in heaven will be great. When you give to the poor, you actually giving this to the Lord. We would love to hear from you. Orphans need your help.

Film Show in Sindhupalchowk
We are taking a outreach team with Jesus film to unreached place and people groups in northern Nepal. Please pray and support our evangelism effort. We know that gospel must be preached to all nations, but it will only be possibly when we go and tell them. I want to take a team of students that were in Bible College. I promised them that I will take them to outreach.Outreach is second phase of the training. So please pray for fund for outreach, and boldness to share the gospel in unreached places.

New red T-shirts for soccer
My football team needs new set of T-shirt for the football games. In T-shirts there will be word of God written on it. So people will see the message of the gospel in T-shirts in TVs, News, Internet. If anyone wants to donate toward the T-shirt please do so quickly.

Nepal Election

Please pray for Nepal election on November 22, that it will be peaceful. There are unsatisfied groups that don't want to see election happen and they are the ones to call blockade during the election. We are in village and we don't want to get stock here. Most importantly that people would not be harmed.

I want to thank you so much for you faithful prayer and support and for your encouragement. It is not that my mind are never distracted, it does, but I always put my trust in God and I remember how much you love me by sending your support, so I try my best to remain loyal to God our Father and responsible person for the gospel. My country Nepal needs Jesus Christ and we can change this nation for Jesus together with you. My report is not finish; I will send links of album related to this ministry report. I need to go to Dungdunge to work for the disadvantage Children. God is good, now they have school and learning about God. Please remember us in your prayer.

2013 April May and June report about football, orphanage, school, church planting

My Dear Friend Brother
 Bible Distribution in Nepal
I bring you the ministry report of April, May and June. I want to, from the tips of my boot to the top of my hat, say thank you for your prayers, emails and financial contribution which has greatly helped me to expand the work of the Lord in Nepal.

Bible Distribution in football game in Bhojpur
We go around Nepal and distribute Bibles and tracts and this time it was in Bhojpur. Road was tough and dangerous. Just as we reached the town we planned to distribute gospel tracts and Bibles. So we found couple of believers who were happy to meet us and prayed for us. They distributed Bibles and tracts while we played the game. I want to say thank you to some beautiful people who donated us the Bibles. Gospel is being preached around Nepal, and it is fun to do with the sport.

Football training and sharing the gospel
Church Boys KathmanduThere were also other event where we share the gospel with others. This time it was in football training. There were around 35 players everyday in the football pitch where we mention them the importance of prayer, being truthful, spirit of good sportsmanship and knowing Christ. We used our Logo and its meaning and share the gospel with them. Our name of the team is Church Boys United, it is the only Christian club in Nepal which can play with any club in Nepal.

Church Boys Kathmandu in C qualifying round

Church Boys United Kathmandu participated in National 'C' qualification round that was held in Kathmandu. We lost in the very first match and was all disappointed. Some time you prepare well and the result is not in your favor, this reminds us of hard labor. We carry Philippians 4 : 13 in the sporting field, which says, I can do all things through Christ Jesus who gives me strength. We want to become the first division team in Nepal. Thanks to all the players who labor very hard for the Church team.

School in Dungdunge come to reality
After long process, practice and persuasion, we were finally able to start the school in Dungdunge in Nepal. We have 35 students and three teacher and almost no facility except the rooms where the students sit and learn. We want to thank all our supporters for helping us in the process of starting the school. Poor children of Dungdunge needs your help. They want to go to school and learn and be educated. School Children in Dungdunge
As you can see by the photos that a toilet is needed which cost 700 dollar, building of kitchen cost 1200 dollar and expansion of two more rooms cost 3000 dollar.

Church Building in Gelu in Ramechap
In some parts of Nepal, Church building is necessary because of caste system. There are untouchable, Dalit, Brahmins which they say is high caste like the Jews and Samaritans in Jesus' time. For new comer in the Church, he feels uncomfortable to stay with the community. People still say that Christianity is foreign Religion, and its coming here to destroy their culture. High caste people do not go to the low caste people's house and low caste people do not deal with high caste people. In this situation a common place for worship is needed. That is what we are doing in Gelu in Ramechap, so that who ever is coming to Church will not get offend.

Orphanage Building on progress
A great progress has been made in building of the orphanage in Urlabari in village. But we still need money to continue to work. Ground floor and first floor has been laid and when windows and doors are complete in this summer, prayer hall, kitchen and dining hall will be ready in ground floor and 6 rooms will be ready in the first floor as well as more work in the second floor.
For complete and updated images of the orphanage you can go here.

I want to use a verse to say thank you to you. And Naomi said to her two daughters in-law, 'Go, return each of you to her mother's house, May the Lord deal kindly with you as have dealt with the dead and with me.' I thank my God always concerning you, for the grace of God which was given you in Christ Jesus. Being remembered in such a nice way means a lot more then what a 'thank you' can say.

Church Boys Kathmandu lifts the trophy

Church Boys Kathmandu lifted the trophy in Adarsha Gold Cup in Jhapa in June, with cash prize, trophy, medals and certificates. People in Nepal are beginning to hear the Church Boys and why we play. We have many fans and people love Church Boys and speaks about us. Some people may not like the sport but we are using sport to communicate the gospel. Everywhere we play we give away Bibles and tracts.

Many have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior through this sports ministry. We need your prayer for this ministry and sports materials. You can see more in www.facebook.com/churchboysunited

As I go for now, I want to leave some points to remember them in your prayer.

1. Meeting, please pray for our sub annual meeting of pastors and leaders in Ramechap in August. That God will give us wisdom to serve Him and His people.

2. Bible College, please pray for the Bible College in September/October that God will supply us the fund needed for the food, materials, lodging, T-shirts and others.

3. Orphanage, please pray for the fund to come in for the building of the orphanage. We need 6000 $$ for the month of July and August. Fund are needed for Windows and Doors, Furniture and Heating system, water purification system, and Kitchenware. We also need humble and God fearing staffs and volunteers.
4. School, we are looking for Christian social organization or Church who might help us extend the school for poor children in Dungudnge in east Nepal. We need volunteer teacher, volunteer workers and school supplies.

Thank you to all who donated Bibles. We really appreciate you for your time and labor in encouraging others to donate Bibles for Nepal. We have been giving away Bibles to needy Pastors, believers and to mainly Bible College students. Please send more, you can send to Rita Rai, GPO 2623, Kathmandu, Nepal.

It is wonderful to serve God and His people together with you. Thank you for your encouraging emails and prayer. Together we do a great work for our God.

2012 Oct/Nov/Dec Ministry Report

My Dear Beloved Friend and Partner

Love and greeting to you from Nepal with ministry report of October November and December 2012. I send you update of Sports ministry, Bible distribution, Orphanage, Children camp, Students program, annual conference and village reports. In all these, your prayer and support played crucial part in every second. Without your prayer and support we would not have come to this far in 2012.
Football Tournament participation and Bible Distribution

People requesting gospel tracts
We had very good impact on the people because we played well and we distributed Bibles and gospel tracts in football games in Kakadvitta and in Biratnagar. Bibles were wrapped with the gift paper. Bibles worth 700 dollar were distributed to people who asked. Our players gave away Bibles to other players each time they played. We played 5 matches and it was huge crowd. Here is a link for the Bible distribution in the football tournament.

Orphanage Building
Orphanage Nepal Orphanage work slowly on progress but this orphanage needs your help. It is a long time vision for me to keep orphans in the house and raise them before God. My only hope is in God and secondly to you and friends. We pray to God to provide us 7000 US dollar for the first Six month in 2013 so that we can start taking the orphans to the homes. This will go toward the construction of the house. Click HERE for more photos.

Visiting Churches

During my stay in village I was able to visit several of our Churches and shared the gospel and encourage the leader for the work of ministry. Many of our leaders are in need of financial support for their family and ministry. I met disciples of our lord Jesus Christ in Ilam, Domukha, Kerkha, Inaruwa, Biratnagar and other places. Churches are thrilling and moving very fast and many people are coming to the Lord. Some disciples really need our consideration towards the clothing they were because they don't have sufficient cloths to cover up winter, less nutritious food, bed they sleep do not give much comfort. But their zeal for the lord is encouraging. Despite family persecution and problems, believers in Nepal are still committed to the Lord. Click HERE for the village ministry photos.

Children Camp

We had a wonderful and blessed children camp with 97 kids in Kathmandu. They sang, danced, made drawings, ate food together, answered the Bibles questions, and they were very happy. Children of our Christian communities are very important because they are the ones who would defend our faith tomorrow. Proverbs 22 : 6 Says, 'The Bible says train a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not turn from it.' Click HERE for Children Camp photos

Students Conference

We had 1st Open students conference in Kathmandu and many of them were very happy to be there. Most of the teenagers were never in this type of conference. They said they really learn so many things in this part and were spiritually uplifted. There were more than 75 students in the conference. It was time of worship, powerful message, student's presentations, dance, songs, and prayers, ministering, and getting to know each other. We are glad to host this program. Click HERE for Students program photos.

Pastor Ordination

In December we anointed and ordain Khamba Sing Rai, from Mukti Church, Kerkha, Jhapa, Padam Bahadur Parali Rai from Jiwan Jyoti Church in Dasami in Panchther and Pratap Praja from Apostolic Church in Hetauda to a Pastoral ministry under the Churches Network Nepal. We have proved their calling, their character, and power and according to the situation and need of the local church ministry, in front of the delegated authority and witness of elderly Pastors, we recognize them as Pastor in their Churches. So we want you to please remember to pray for these three new Pastors in the ministry.

Annual Conference

We had wonderful ministry report from the Churches in our 6th Annual Conference which was held in Kathmandu. I personally am very glad to see how God is working in our midst in Nepal. We hear the report of the finances, new souls, Church growth, and need for fund for the Pastors and Evangelists which are working in the front line in ministry.

Ramechap visits

I and some of my ministry leaders headed toward Ramechap in December which is east of Kathmandu and can reach there after traveling 8 hours in humping bumping road through the dangerous cliffs. There is no space for other bus to cross by because road is very small. If they have to give way for other they have to return back to some space and let pass other vehicle. Every moment life is in danger.

We witness the work of God in Gelu where our brother Pradip Rai (Ramechap) is leading the flock of God. There is Kedar who was raised back to life after death from more than 48 hours and Asmita who was demon possessed and was set free by the prayers of the believers who knew nothing about what is written in the Scripture. Because of their life and testimony, 9 other people accepted Jesus Christ as their personal and savior and were baptized in water, there. We have decided to plant a Church in this place because untouchable and Dalit can't come to other people's house. Untouchable system is still in force in village and we have to be very careful in maintaining relationship with Jesus and the World. You can see more of the PHOTOS here. The crowd that came to see the drama 'Life and Satan' was enormous. Hundreds of Children were gather there to see the songs, drama, action song, messages. Suntali Budhathoki gave her heart touching testimony of how she was beaten by villagers accusing her of a witch, how she was taken to police custody just because she became follower of Jesus. She is 68 and still walking very fast and healthy. Her report will be soon publishing in Radio and Christian newspaper soon for the encouragement to other believers who suffer like her in their Christian walk.
We went to Phulasi which they said is only one hour walking but to us it took four hours to reach there. It was top of the mountain and the cold really heat has hard. Water was running out of our Noses but we could see the Mount Everest from there. Be careful when you walk in the steps. These are the Cliff track that animal don't tread because path is dangerous. Don't drop anything; there is no chance of finding them. And disciples in this places walk 7 hours to get to the nearest Church gathering for the worship and they are happy. Sometime 5 minute walking is too long for us, how about theirs 7 hours?

After walking seven hours we reached a town called Manthali. We were waiting for the bus and decided to take snacks because we were hungry. We order meat eggs rice, finger chips, and water. We were eating and the bus, horned, Pop Pooop. We paid the bill and left the food. By the time we reach guest house we were more sick, our hairs were gray by the dust of the road in the bus, exhausted and tired. And the disciples there began to come and talk to us. We put blanket in, to take rest and they said we need to go for prayer for the sick. We went. In this Church there is a conflict, two church, two service and two offerings. Distrust upon the Pastor and matter of immoral relationship. They accuse each other. For this reason we were here so that we could unite and fix it. Next day we encouraged, share our love, rebuked and build up. They were again united and we had Lord Supper after 20 month. I miss Christmas time with my family. But I am glad this was wonderful Christmas experience. Back at home, Children were unhappy because I am always out of home in special season. Kids shouted Daddy doesn't buy us Jacket now it's very cold. I forget last time I bought coat for them was two years ago. I said each of you will get two piece of warm cloth in New Year, and all smile. Thank you for following my report.

I wish you the best in 2013 and promise that I would be more responsible towards my calling in ministry and I will spend more time praying for you, for your family and for your ministry. I and my leaders need your prayer for strength to overcome the temptation and every kind of persecution in Nepal. Thank you so much for your emails, prayers and support in 2012. Thank you for your faithful support. You have been a great source of encouragement to all of us in ministries in Nepal.
